New video: Understanding the role of ECPGR Working Group members

A new explainer video outlines the roles, responsibilities and activities of ECPGR Working Group members, offering a clear introduction for new and existing participants.

A new explainer video providing a comprehensive overview of what it means to be a Working Group member within the Programme is now available.

The video describes  ECPGR's structure, from the Steering Committee and Executive Committee to the Secretariat and the network of crop- and theme-specific Working Groups. It explains how Working Group members are nominated, how their activities are funded, and what frameworks – such as Grant Scheme Activities and Working Group meetings – they work through.

Particular attention is given to illustrating the responsibilities of Working Group members, which include carrying out mandated activities, initiating proposals aligned with ECPGR priorities, contributing to key initiatives such as AEGIS, EVA and EURISCO, and maintaining communication with National Coordinators and fellow experts.

The video also highlights the coordinating role of the Working Group Chair and encourages members to engage actively with their groups and with the Secretariat.

The content of the video is also available as a PDF file. For further information on roles and procedures, please consult the ECPGR Rules of Procedures and Terms of Reference.
