COLiBRI – Collaborative Crop Breeding Research and Innovation for a Green Europe – is a Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action (CSA) that is laying the foundations for a stronger, more connected European crop breeding research and innovation (R&I) ecosystem. By bringing together stakeholders, identifying shared priorities and developing a common strategic direction, the project will help improve how crop breeding research is coordinated, supported and translated into practice.

As a partner in the project, ECPGR invites interested stakeholders to join the COLiBRI Stakeholder Community and contribute to the co-creation of a strategic roadmap, implementation plan and governance framework for a coordinated European plant breeding R&I network and funding mechanism.

The involvement of ECPGR and its networks ensures that the diversity of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture (PGRFA) is recognized as the basis of future breeding efforts within the initiative. Participation from the ECPGR community is important to provide evidence and input on needs and gaps in PGRFA research, infrastructure and funding, and to help build an EU-wide plant breeding R&I network.
