A number of national research institutes and universities participate in EVA, contributing their scientific expertise in areas such as genotyping, performing lab disease tests and data analysis as well as contributing to seed multiplication and field trials. Much of their work is also contributed in kind and research institutes are often leading dissemination activities and preparation of EVA network publications.
Some institutes are also genebanks and have contributed accessions to the EVA networks.
