EVA database information

This privacy notice tells you about the information we collect from you when you submit the form with the information of your Institute/Company that we will include in our database and will appear on the EVA webpages. In collecting this information, we are acting as a data controller and, by law, we are required to provide you with information about us, about why and how we use your data, and about the rights you have over your data.

Who are we?

We are The Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT). Our address is Via dei Tre Denari 472/a, 00054, Fiumicino, Rome, Italy. You can contact us by post at the above address, by email at bioversity-ds-requests(at)giar.org.

We are not required to have a data protection officer, so any enquiries about our use of your personal data should be addressed to the contact details above.

What personal data do we collect?

When you register to participate in the workshop, we ask you for your Name, email, Organization name, Organization address, Organization telephone number, travel information and requirements.

Why do we collect this information?

We use this information to publish on the EVA webpages the Institutes/Companies particiipating in the EVA Network and their contact persons.

We ask for your consent to do this, and we will only keep your data in our database for as long as you continue to consent.

What do we do with your information?

The information that we collect through our website online form will be stored secured in our database (only for internal use).

How long do we keep your information for?

Your information is kept until you ask us to remove it from the database by sending an email to bioversity-ds-requests(at)cgiar.org.

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.
If we have asked for your consent to process your personal data, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

You can also ask for it to be erased and you can ask for us to give you a copy of the information.

Your right to complain

If you have a complaint about our use of your information, we would prefer you to contact us directly in the first instance so that we can address your complaint.
