Genetic and phenotypic evaluation of European maize landraces

New video showcases the results of an EVA Maize study on 626 landraces from European collections

A new video abstract summarizes the main findings of a study published in Biology by the EVA Maize Network, who performed a systematic evaluation of a collection of 626 maize landraces preserved in nine European genebanks, testing them in different environments and providing new insights into their genetic and phenotypic traits. The studied collection captured a large proportion of European maize diversity and offers valuable resources for breeding programmes that tackle climate change-related challenges, sustainable agriculture, food security and food quality.

The video is produced by the MDPI Video Service
